How to Get Ripped Abs
Trying to get that tummy of yours to look like
as ripped as possible, as fast as it can be? Have you been
tirelessly committing yourself to the gym, repeating that
famous work out tips such as abdominal crunches or
attending those hip-hop and belly dancing classes? And why
does it seem you still cannot get those refined six pack
abs that almost every single person want?
I too have been asking myself after so many weeks of trying
so hard to put on those sports outfit and getting my body to
move regularly. It has kept me frustrated that until now, I
cannot flaunt my stomach when I hit the beach or simply wear
skimpy clothes. Until I researched and tasked to write this
article, I found out that how to get ripped abs takes a simple
common sense and stricter routine that I actually have not
realized and thought about.
The first thing that struck me when I read
those muscle building books and internet articles on getting
those abs, they practically told me one thing - you cannot get
those ripped six pack abs if it is covered with belly fat. No
matter how hard you try to do those abdominal crunches, sit
ups, leg raiser exercises and all the likes, you cannot see
those abs instantly showing off, well not just yet.
Yes the said exercises may seem helpful but in a different
way, mostly to tone off already seen muscles but until there is
still fat, it would not work. The thing is, our ab muscles are
hidden by layers of tummy fat so getting those out of the way
is a step in materializing our hiding abs, and we are really
capable of seeing such. The most effective way of having a
glimpse of those abs is by engaging oneself in a healthy diet
and exercises.
So this leaves us another question in mind again, what would
be the best diet plan and exercise routine? The goal to any
fitness regime is cut down on calories as it takes 3500
calories to burn out just a pound of fat. Consequently, to trim
on this 3500 calories by taking in a fewer calories in your
body and putting out those calories, you will burn a pound of
body weight. That is a combination of diet and exercise.
When I say losing a fewer calories, the ideal
will be at least 500 and not above 1000 as everybody’s
maintenance level. You can start of by computing your basal
metabolic rate (BMR), such would help one in knowing how much
calories we burn when in a steady pace. The more we age, our
basal metabolic rate decreases likewise, depriving ourselves
with food to lose weight also decreases our BMR therefore it is
NOT advisable to starve ourselves rather eat the “right” way
and combine it with increased exercise to keep us strong and
lean off those hidden muscles and abs.
The point is to raise this BMR to enable us to burn calories
even while resting. Once you have computed your BMR, you can
already check on your Daily Calorie Needs in order to maintain
your weight and then compute for the need calories intake to
lose weight.
Having all those said, how to get ripped abs starts with you
getting to acknowledge you have one by removing those belly
weight and working on a proportional full body work out by a
combination of a healthy diet, eating the right food and
regular exercise.
